My 25 month old takes stage 3 formula in the morning and before bed from a bottle. She loves it so much but I'm keen to switch to whole milk. She's not so keen.

She will drink water from a sippy cup or the miracle cup the rest of the day no problem. Does anyone have any advice to make the switch. I'm keen to get rid of bottles also. Finally how does everyone warm the milk? So many questions I know sorry!.

Also thanks !

You can just warm it in the microwave. She doesn’t need to drink milk at all at that age as long as she gets 350 mg of calcium which she can get from yoghurt, cheese, custard and other sources.

Thanks. I have twin 10 year olds also and they stopped drinking the bottle at 18 months. My toddler on the other hand just loves her bottle.

25 month old? You mean a two year old.

Explain they are too big for bottles and just stop buying the formula. You can warm milk in a pan or microwave

Is she still having it from a bottle with a teat? I'd chuck the bottles and stop buying formula. Maybe let her choose a new big girl cup or something. But I wouldn't worry about substituting it for milk, she doesn't need milk before bed so if she doesn't like it, I wouldn't bother trying to insist.

So they need milk at 2 before bed? Are they getting enough calcium elsewhere in their diet? I’d definitely try and stop it as it must be a pain having to brush teeth after a bottle every night. It’s not great for their mouth development either.

She 2, why is she on formula? Just take the bottles away and explain why.

2 year olds only need around 350ml milk maximum OR 2 portions of either yogurt/cheese a day. Definitely no bottles for dental reasons. Just swap to cows milk or stop the bottles altogether. At 2 they will have some kind of understanding if you say its for babies and they are a big boy / girl
