Sick toddler sleeping all day

Our DD - almost 23 mos - has a bit of a sick bug. Sick in her bed last night, then twice in ours. Sick after some dry toast this morning (around 9am).

At around 9.45 she fell asleep on me on the couch. She woke about 10.30 to have a little sick, but then went straight back down. It’s almost 3pm and aside from the odd wake for a couple of minutes - she has slept solidly.

Is this ok? Should I be trying to wake her for a bit?

I also really need a wee, but she’s right on my chest and I don’t want to wake her if I shouldn’t.

just worried she won’t sleep tonight….is a 5 hour nap (and counting - shows no sign of wanting to wake up!) is a cause for concern?

Has she had a wee in the last 12 hours? I don’t think it’s concerning in isolation. I wouldn’t hesitate ti disturb her though.

Mine was teething/poorly last week and she slept sooo much. Hasn't slept that much since a tiny baby. With a sick bug she'll just have to sleep it out but they're normally gone in a day or 2.

I Hope your little one is feeling a bit better tonight? It's scary when they sleep so much. I just had my first experience of this with ds 3.5 last weekend
He was poorly on the Friday and went to bed early. Woke at his normal 8am on the Saturday but kept falling asleep on my bed which is totally unlike him. He is ND/non verbal (asd suspected) and isn't usually able to sleep if even the slightest bit of light is around the window yet despite this he was waking for a few minutes, seeing the light coming through and just shutting his eyes and going back into a deep sleep. I think altogether he slept 18 hours straight! I was so worried as extremely unusual. He had a temp too so was waking in 4hr intervals for calpol/ibuprofen and a drink but that was all. He wasn't waking for a pee either. Eventually got up around 2pm
I didn't think he would sleep at all Saturday night (who would after all that??) but he did so his body must have needed all the extra hours. I managed to keep him awake until his normal bedtime (8:30) but that was a real struggle as the poor thing was just getting drowsy all over again
By the Monday he was back to normal and not sleeping any extra
