I did adult numeracy and literacy with them.
Quick and painless - only took two weeks. I would definitely look there first if I was going to take something else

Great, thanks and well done, I want to do as many child care courses as possible, should have done it 15 years ago when I first thought about it

If you want to go in to childcare could you not go to collage? That way you get experience in settings while doing placements. My college has a good nursery which apparently doesnt cost anything for single mothers, and takes them from birth. my dds in a school nursery but Im on a course with nursery nurses from the college nursery. If you want to be a practitioner you would have to go to college to get a recognised qualification.

The problem is ds has ASD, and I am called out to the school several times, so until things hopefully improve I cant commit myself to a job or college.

what kind of qualifications do you have at the moment and what are you hoping to do

because your options are diffrent depending on what you already have

mybrainaches · 11/05/2008 11:21

Nt alot to be honest, nothing relating to childcare, I have management skills, including recruiting, craft training, disiplinery (sp) etc

Thats ok for some courses you dont need relevent qualifications

could you do open university? The higher level you are the better if you dont have relevent experience

Can I ask those of you that did courses with LD, did you do them online or at a centre ??

Specifically interested in the adult numeracy and literacy, and the ecdl courses.

Thanks
