First time poster and first time parent looking for any advice or guidance.
my little girl has been EBF since birth with the occasional bottle of formula to see if she would take it. She’s always been fussy eater and will cry and arch her back etc. so at 12 weeks went dairy, soy and egg free which really started to help by end of 14 weeks but now it’s gone straight back to extreme fussiness on the boob which she gets distressed about and so do I.
you can tell she’s still hungry but just doesn’t want to feed and will cry the house down. She’s also not napping and doing a max 30 mins each nap by contact only. She sleeps ok at night and the feed at 4am is always a breeze.
hope you can help with any advice. Xx

Four months is a notoriously challenging age and fussy behaviour can be so difficult. Sometimes it helps to try to catch the very earliest feeding cues. There's some info here about what could be going on. https://laleche.org.uk/unhappy-baby/ if there's a bf group near you I'd recommend going along, they might be able to suggest some useful things, or the national bf helpline is great.

Could be reflux.
Try baby gaviscon, omoprezole.

Short naps are normal at this age, she might grow out of them by herself but not until 6 months ISH... I also had terrible trouble with feeds out and about at this age (breast or bottle). I found lying on my side to feed in a silent room helped. Also spacing out feeds. The health visitor told me at this age that if they won't do a 'big' breastfeed, just leave them to it, which I found very hard advice to accept! But I think her point was that I'd they have gained weight well until now, they may take more milk at a feed than you think.
