To be able to claim childcare through the tax credits you must work 16 hours a week.

But what if I work full time (40 hours) during non - term time and say only 4 hours a week working during term time whilst studying full time as a postgraduate.

Will my working hours be averaged out over the year so that if this average come to 16 or more I can claim childcare from the tax credtis for the year?

Confused.

Here Think you'd have to notify them each time your circumstances changed and only be paid as and when eligible ie when working 16+ hours.
