DS has really shown me up again :(

I've posted before about my DS2 (7).

I just want to offload again really.

We went to karate tonight (both me and my two boys train) and instructor gave me an expensive, heavy weight suit free of charge for DS1 (it was his daughter's) and I was very grateful, especially as DS1 really needs a new one too.

So the night started well although DS2 was messing around constantly and getting on people's nerves.

Then half way through the class I heard instructor shouting and asking for witnesses. Turned to see DS2 had spat in the face of another boy. He swore it was an accident but two other boys saw it and confirmed it had been done maliciously. I believe them as it's not the first time he's done it.

I was mortified, everyone was looking at me. I think if it hadn't been for me being a student too sensei would have banned him from the club there and then.

I'm not really supposed to interfere in the discipline during class so afterwards I marched him upto the boy and made him apologise. I also told instructor that I would make him sit out of the classes from now on. He didn't disagree.

I'm just so embarrassed because people probably think its the way he's being brought up but my other son isn't like this. I don't want him to spoil the karate classes for us because it means alot to me and DS1.

I am going to make him sit at the side for the hours whilst we train 3 times a week. I'm just worried he will start to play up then too because sooner or later instructor is going to realise we're more trouble than we're worth and tell us not to bother going back at all. I would be so upset if this happened.

I don't have anyone to look after DS2 whilst we train.

What is wrong with that boy??

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with him.

Does he enjoy karate? Is he not as good at it as you and DS1? Why is he acting up so much?

It sounds quite hard for a 7-year-old to sit on the side, three times a week, while you and DS1 train ...

Hi
Mrs snape
I think I do remember some of your other posts on here about your troublesome ds.
If I remember correctly from some of your other posts your ds is quite bright really isn't he.
I know it must be realy hard for you but I would give him as much love as you can and try to remain calm with him.
Try and not rise to the occasion.
Ensure that he does actually enjoy the karate and try and engage him in things that he loves and encourage any interests he has.
Even though your ds is very difficult now he could turn into a well adjusted adult later.

Has he had alot of disruption in his young life through no fault of your own, and he is rebelling inside.
