Where in London to take energetic toddler and 2 childless friends?

Hi all,

I am meeting some friends who don’t yet have children on Saturday, along with my very energetic toddler (prone to big toddler tantrums!).
The tantrums have made me quite anxious and I have been avoiding meet-ups, so I’ve been overthinking a lot about this coming weekend.

can anyone suggest somewhere we can go (assuming it’s going to be raining here in London!) which is suitable for all?
I need DS to burn energy off and want my
friends to be somewhere nice obviously, a chaotic soft play for example would be hell for them 😂

thank you!

How old is said toddler?

Mine enjoyed mooching round Spitalifelds. Enjoyed looking at the fish, elephant statues and general comings and goings, and lots of easily available food from the various stalls.

The Tate Modern is surprisingly good as there's often stuff on in the Turbine Hall which is interactive, and mine always enjoyed the exhibitions with light and sound. Electric Dreams and Solid Light both look toddler friendly. Usually plenty of small kids there.

If toddler is an adventurous eater Yo Sushi is a good shout for the conveyor belt.

You could hop on a boat up the river to Greenwich. Lots for toddler to look at whilst adults chat and the Maritime Museum is really good for kids.

Fab suggestions here. My two year old loves all the elephants at Spitalfields and Tate modern is also great for toddlers an has a yummy restaurant.
If you do decide on Greenwich there is an amazing outside play park on the park side of the maritime museum, and a coffee stall. Greenwich park is beautiful for both kids and adults.
Battersea power station is also really good and spacious for toddler running (and could get boat as an activity)
