Buying a house with no bath?

Would you buy a house with only a cubicle shower if you were planning on having a baby in the next year or so? Cost is a big factor in this and so if there is a way around bathing children with a shower I'd like to hear your tips please or advice if not a good idea.

We don't have a bath. Actually took one out as we're limited on space and neither me or my husband would ever really choose to have a bath. Our 3 year old has a bath every night though. We have the stokke XL folding bath and put it up in the shower tray (it's a fairly big shower). He's tall and it's plenty big enough with the added bonus of using much less water to make a lovely deep warm bath for him! Only disadvantage I can see is it's a bit tight to bathe him and his baby sister together but he's started showing an interest in showering now anyway.

No. I always vetoed houses without a bath

You cant shower a baby

No, I came across two 'family' homes and they both had showers only. I didn't buy either one but whilst I would be willing to change a bathroom, I can't help but think is it to put families off buying them?
A bath makes life so much easier with a baby and young kids. My aunty somehow manages with just a shower and toddler but I think she just washes most of the time and hairwash once a week.

Those toddler baths look ok for a baby but they dont stay little for long

How easy is it to empty them out? Can you lift it easily when full of water?

My 6 year old spends ages splashing around in bath. Always has. Likes to lie out and dive under

How do you wash their hair in those little tubs?

I never have a bath but for a kid, it's essential

I have a walk in shower, never been issue and just filled up a baby bath with the shower for my DD. She’ll be 5 in May and has been taking showers since she turned 4.

If that house is the best option in all other ways then yes. You could use a baby bath and fill it with the shower, which would be fine until the baby is bigger.

I personally would never buy a house without a bath and a shower. If the shower was over the bath ok, but I prefer them to be separate.

A friend of line had this. They put a paddling pool in the shower. Worked quite well.

Absolutely not. We dismissed homes without a bath immediately, didn't even view them. My little boy loves a bath and its part of his routine.

When we were buying we wanted a bath but we were looking very much at the lower end of the budget for our town ( and borrowing the max we were allowed). The house ticked every other box so we found alternatives for how to bath the kids.
