Wondering if anyone has had something similar before and can advise. We noticed this nodule on my son’s head recently, it seemed to come out of nowhere and has definitely been getting bigger. It can be wet at times with a fluid that crusts over (more a small amount of watery fluid, not like pus), it can bleed a little, and he says it is sore. There is only this singular nodule, no other blemish’s etc anywhere else and he is otherwise fine within himself.
We have taken him to the GP twice this week and they gave us an antibacterial cream first and second visit gave us oral antibiotics saying it looks infected but not really identifying what it is in the first place.
From looking online the only things I can find that looks similar is the big C! I’ve attached some photos of it throughout this past week.

Could you draw a ring around it to see if it's getting bigger? Did he fall or bump his head or anything? Did he have a mole or birthmark there before? I'd probably give the antibiotics a chance but if no improvement in a few days I would go back and insist on a referral to get it tested.

I really really really hope it's nothing to worry about but as a 'moley' person I know the things to look out for are changing size, irregular shape (not round) and oozing/bleeding. Best to kick up a fuss and have it be nothing, than the other way round.

Hope he's on the mend soon whatever it is x

@Worsthousebeststreet no moles or anything previously. Hasn’t hit his head or injured it etc. we noticed it around 3 weeks ago and at that time it felt like a tiny scab and so it wasn’t suspect to us at that time, with us assuming he has scratched it or something as it was barely noticeable. Then in the past week I felt it whilst washing his hair and noticed it was very prominent which prompted us going to the GP. He had chicken pox early December and so I think the GP is assuming it’s a scab from that but I disagree as all his chicken pox scabs were healed before we noticed this.
its looking a bit drier today, not as wet as the previous few days, however still looks very unusual.
