Stopped using button ones about 2ish as started to introduce the potty, so moved onto normal singlet vest types

Yeah age 2 pretty much. It's more difficult to get older ones so I didn't bother looking. It was summer at the time, so the additional layer wasn't necessary either

Stopped using the kind with the popper crotch somewhere around 1 and a half years. Since then he wears a normal vest in the colder months.

One week before potty training to get them used to normal vests before we started. On one DD this meant we had to find aged 2-3 years ones for the last four months - M&S did them. The other was tiny so 18-24 months fit till she was over 2.

We stopped ages ago for DS2, who is now 13 months, except at night under his sleepsuit. It's much easier to have a quick look down the back of their nappy if they've got a normal vest or a t-shirt on.

The spring after turning 2 when weather warmed up. I.e one turned 2 in dec, kept vests until the april/may.

Other will turn 2 in April, will stop april/may

Stopped when potty training so at 2ish.

Ì don't like to see a gap between toddler trousers and tops as I always think they'll get scratched or something when they're rolling around.

shardlakem · 15/01/2025 20:08

Stopped at about 21 months just because they became too small but also found getting dressed / changed much easier!

HaddyAbrams · 15/01/2025 20:09

The popper ones when they potty trained.
They still wore vests until they were about 7 and refused.

purpleme12 · 15/01/2025 20:11

When she was potty trained

She still fit in them so I could have put her in them but not practical when they're not in nappies anymore so just when she stopped being in nappies

Hadn’t occurred to me to not need vests, nursery often send my baby home in less layers than he goes in with - so it’s probably me. I definitely wore vests until I was about 13 and was allowed to choose my own clothes, sleeveless vests in the summer and ones with capped sleeves and a little bow in the winter. DM still wears vests year round, I don’t think she’d feel properly dressed without an M&S vest/slip 🤣
