Could anybody share by what year children are introduced grammar concepts like adverbs, synonyms, etc ? Is that in year 2 or Year 3 ?

In what context?
In home education it's going to really vary, are you thinking of a particular curriculum?

When I taught in year 3, we formally introduced adverbs and taught them as part of the curriculum.

Did you introduce adverbs in year 3 itself or started the basics in Year 2 ?

You can download the complete national curriculum to give you some structure, you aren't obliged to stick to it but I found knowing what is taught when helpful

Children in Year 2 are taught to change adjectives into adverbs by adding ly, so some children knew that adverbs were ly words. In year 3 the teaching was more explicit, to explain that adverbs are used to describe verbs, and how they can be used for time, place and manner.

Another thing to do is to look at curriculum progression documents that are published by schools on their websites. They will have the outcomes the school exoect for each year group and what children should have learnt at that stage. They are easier to read than the national curriculum.

But I would like to stick with how it is taught in the schools, basically in the same order. National curriculum outlines these but not clear what years or order the schools introduce these normally.

Check the school website for a good or outstanding school, and have a look at their curriculum section. It's usually broken down into detailed coverage for each year group for each subject.
