How to teach baby to wind down

6 month old, never is drowsy or tired, even when he is rubbing his eyes and I try to put him to sleep, he kicks and screams, basically hates when he's supposed to stay still, even if he's should be tired time wise (wake window), whether he's lying in his bed or I carry him horizontally, it's just protesting, if i give him a pacifier he immediately takes it out and starts playing with it, if I try to hold his hands he freaks out. I tried different lengths of wake windows, cuddling in bed - he hates it, too boring. Even when I dimm the lights and lie with him, and take away all his toys or anything he could occupy himself with her sometimes starts touching the wall or trying to find any detail around to look at and get excited about. The only reliable way he sleeps is on the boob or in the stroller. If he ever fell asleep in another way was some very peculiar coincidence. He can stay up for hours, 9, 12 hours, doesn't fall asleep out of exhaustion, nope. What to do. How to help him learn to wind down? He has only three modes: sleep, play, cry .. dimming the lights and limiting stimulation only results in screaming

I think you just have to lean in to feeding to sleep and pram naps. I don't think my son started doing anything other than these until he was down to one nap in the afternoon which he then did in his cot. Before that was a lot of out and about to let him nap in his pram in the fresh air.
