Either currently or previously. If you could do / could have done one thing to make your life easier, what would it be? Currently in the trenches and looking for small ways to make life slightly less nuts

Home Bargains floor wipes. Buys a couple days extra out of the kitchen floor.
Always empty the bin before it needs doing.
Ten minutes tidying up when you can't do the kitchen properly.
Main meal for lunch, for the kids.

Main meal for lunch is actually revolutionary thinking!!!

I wish I had got a double buggy from the beginning. Trying to wrestle ds1 with ds2 in the sling was a nightmare and trying to convince ds1 to stand on the buggy board was just as bad.

My strategy for most of the day was 'whose needs can I satisfy the quickest'. I worked out plans for dealing with most tricky situations and each plan I developed made me feel more in control!

Ds1 was quite a challenge so I used to have to put ds2 in the playpen for his own safety and often I would have ds2 in the baby bouncer with me in the kitchen behind the stairgate whilst ds1 was playing.

I have three teenage ds now (4 years between the oldest and youngest) and, other than an exceptionally tricky teenage episode, the time when ds2 was a new born was the hardest.

I do, although the are adults (44 and 45) now. I think the biggest sanity saver was getting an evening job three nights a week and handing them happily to their dad for tea, baths and bedtime.

Other than that, I stopped worrying about housework beyond keeping the place clean enough to avoid disease, and I made sure we went out for a walk/activity every day.

My mum had 5 kids, with 5 years between us, and was fond of telling me how easy I had it, which helped by giving me someone I could swear at without guilt.

Following as have a toddler and a newborn and recovering from C section ... want to know all the tips for in a couple of weeks and I can start our new normal

I had a 5 year old 2 year old twins and newborn. Lots of baby grows Babies don't need to be dressed up. They can live in baby grows with snowsuits or cardigans over the top for quite a long time or even under dungarees. When the babygrow start to get tight in the feet cut them off and use socks then you do not have to buy new ones.

If you do something that can go in a flask you can do a main meal for lunch somewhere outside. Saves on the mess. You can also make a bento box in the morning for their evening meal, serve it with some toast or something.
