What can I do?

My child is in nursery and is 3 years old. I had a visit from his HV and she read an email his teacher had sent saying some seriously not nice things eg he is extremely aggressive and verbally abusive among other things, I was not made aware of any of this from his teacher, except a time when she told me she was concerned about his concentration?, and only found out when his HV came out to me 2 months after email was sent. He has since got a new teacher and she expressed she has no concerns about him at all. What can I do about his previous teacher as I am not happy with what she has said about my child and that I wasn’t informed of any of these concerns or that she was contacting his HV.

Have a conversation with the Head of the school or nursery about their processes.

You do not need to inform parents of referrals for any concerns to any outside provider but they should have had a conversation about any aggression, changes at home, what is being watched, older siblings etc.

Just wondering if you know for definite a teacher actually said this? The only reason I ask is because something similar, although less extreme, happened to me last year and it turns out the HV was talking nonsense. When my son turned 3 he had a review with the HV and she casually mentioned at the end that his nursery had raised concerns about his behaviour. I knew nothing about this and definitely had no concerns myself so I asked what it was but she said she didn't know and that the nursery should have spoken to us and that I need to ask them. I rang the nursery the next day and spoke to one of the nursery staff and they knew nothing about it and they definitely don't have any concerns but she would get his key worker to give me a call the next day. So the next day his key worker rang, and she said her and the other staff don't have any concerns, and that the concerns were raised by another HV who had visited the nursery a couple of months before. It turned out that the HV had for some reason told the nursery at the meeting that I'd raised concerns that my son was autistic (that never happened) and the nursery had never raised any concerns with the HV. She just said that they don't have any autism concerns and that HVs are notorious for miscommunication and getting stuff mixed up. I was tempted to ring the HV and ask how this got so mixed up but I left it in the end.

Hi thanks for your reply but yes the HV had the email printed out that was sent to her so I have to trust that it was actually sent by the teacher!
