Rough time with teething 19 week old

Hi everyone, my DD has been showing teething signs for around a month now, but in the last week or so it's really ramped up. Aggressively gnawing on hands, shaking head back and forth on her hands, very screechy and red faced. When massaging her gums with my finger on of her top front teeth seem to be right under the gum, if I had to guess they're just about to start cutting out. Can't see any visible teeth yet. Also got told bottom teeth come first but it feels like the top are coming first? Is that normal?

We've been using teetha powders and orajel teething gel but while they used to work, now they don't. The only thing that seems to help is calpol, but I hate giving her medication. Obviously if she needs it she'll get it, but I don't want to run to it everytime I can't settle her. It says on the calpol box to not use it consecutively for more than 3 days, and this is her third day. She only had it twice yesterday and none today, but she had 3 doses on tuesday as she had her 4 month vaccines, which she handled well. I was maybe looking into ibuprofen for babies but I have stomach problems and NSAIDS rile it up, so I don't know. Baby is perfectly healthy with no diagnosed conditions though so she'd probably be okay.

Any tips for me please? I'm a FTM and never had experience with a teething baby and it makes me feel very low and like a horrible parent when I can't settle her. I have a variety of teething toys and they seem to frustrate her rather than provide relief. Wish I could just take her pain away. I have her asleep now thank god but it took me a good hour to get her asleep. Shes breastfed and when she's really struggling she refuses to eat, she's still eating enough in a day but it's so hard watching her be hungry/tired and being unable to eat/sleep over the pain. Sorry for the ramble I'm just venting, I would appreciate any help at all!

Its not uncommon for Vaccines to make them feel a tad under the weather, so she could be sick and teething bless her.

You are not a horrible parent - unfortunately there isn't much you can do! Its a ride it out until its gone situation. I'm doing the same currently with my 2 year old who is ill and having her molars come through.

Sending my love - it'll pass!

Thank you for your kind words and reassurance, it's so hard watching them go through it isn't it! I've heard the molars are the worst, sending you & your LO love too, I hope it passes quickly for you two :)
