Could 2 year old’s rash be caused by brown inhaler?

Hey guys. My 2 year old was in hospital for a viral wheeze, tonsillitis and viral infection 2 weeks or so ago, the whole family had a viral infection too. Around 5-6 days ago, DS broke out with a bad nappy rash which is something like he’s never had before. We’ve been using Sudocrem, Metanium and other stuff but it still hasn’t gone away. 2 days ago, he broke out with a nasty rash all over most of his body (on his scalp, shoulders, arms, tummy, chest and back). We took him to the OOH doctor the day before yesterday as directed by 111, who took a look at him and said it’s a viral rash and to keep giving him Piriton which has been helping. Yesterday the rash was almost completely fine, it had almost disappeared. However an hour ago he’s all itchy again, I just touched his back and the rash seems to be back nasty again 🥺 it could very well be a viral rash but the OOH doctor and 111 did ask if he’s started taking any new medication since the rash started. The doctor at the hospital 2 days ago prescribed DS with a brown steroid inhaler which is the only new medication that he’s been taking. I just realised that the night before last, I didn’t give this to him. And he was all fine all day yesterday. Last night I gave him his inhaler and now he seems to have broken out with the rash again? Could it be what’s causing the rash, and it’s not actually a viral rash or it’s a combo of both? Surely it can’t be a coincidence? I’m so annoyed it’s the weekend, honestly every time DS gets ill it’s the weekend or we’re unable to get a GP appointment for whatever reason. He’s well in himself he doesn’t have a fever or anything like that and the rash goes away with a mirror, but I really really think it’s being caused by his brown inhaler. I’m not giving it to him these next few days. Any advice guys? 🥺

Does he actually need the brown inhaler now if it’s not for asthma?

Please call 111 for medical advice for your child, especially if you are stopping prescribed medications. I think it would be irresponsible for someone here to say that this/that is fine 😩
