Cluster feeding hell!

Had DS by unplanned c-section on 21st just after midnight, following 3 days of contractions and no sleep. Cue another two nights of no sleep on postnatal ward. Brought him home yesterday and he’s started cluster feeding through the night, trying to get my milk to come in I guess. Every 15 mins, all night. Latch isn’t ideal so working on that through the pain. And contact napping. He won’t be put down for a minute, even after a successful feed/burp cycle. 😵‍💫😵

DD (born by ELCS when I was rested!) didn’t do this, so I’m looking for tips on how to survive it!

If you possibly can, do absolutely nothing but feed and doze until things settle down. Which they will. Is your dp there? If so, he can do everything. Remember to eat and drink little and often. Also remember-this will pass.

Aargh this is so so tough, I feel your pain! Both my kids did this, absolute velcro babies and boob obsessed, it's tough!!!!!! For the latch and the pain, I'd see a lactation consultant asap!!!!!! Please, do not ignore this advice 🙏 Once latch and pain are sorted, baby will be so much more efficient at getting milk out that the feeding session will naturally space out and you'll get some time back too. For contact napping, use a carrier/sling so at least you aren't nap trapped all the time and can carry on with free arms. Best of luck! Those days are so hard, and hopefully soon will get easier and easier
