Hello!

id firstly like to start by addressing i know parents go through ALOT worse sleep issues than this, and i know my LO still sleeps incredibly well, im just looking to see if my anyone has had a similar experience and if theres any awnsers,

from 14 weeks my baby has slept 7-7 without any wake up or feeds, just recently now at 5 and a half months shes started waking up at half 4/5 wide awake and ready to start her day which means us parents are left with an incredibly long day! Is there any advice or anyone thats gone through similar?

thankyou!

Hiya your LO is probably having her first sleep regression. This first one can fall anywhere from 4 to 6 months old typically. It's usually temporary, I remember it lasting about 2 weeks with my first.

Just keep your routine as consistent as possible and it should pass. But also know baby sleep routines can change from time to time too.

Hang in there !

This is just what babies do.

If you're tired the standard advice is go to bed earlier so you get the right amount of sleep.

Google search "split nights" there will be some tips for you there.

It's normal I am afraid. Until babies mature with their sleeping they tend to wake up super early. Just make sure you go to bed early and ideally take a nap when your baby does. That's how I got through the days for several months.

Baby sleep is constantly changing. I'd stick with it for a couple of weeks to make sure it isn't just a blip, but if it keeps happening, it might be that she now needs a bit less sleep and/or she needs longer wake windows. You might need to push bedtime back a bit or drop a nap.

Some babies can only manage a 10hr night so you could try a later bedtime?

Sometimes babies just do annoying stuff like this and nothing helps!

I sleep trained early wakes. Treated anything prior to 6am as night time. However a 6am wake works for us and we do 6.30pm/6.45pm bed generally so don't expect more.

What time is your bedtime?
