Toy kitchen - attach to the wall or not?

I've got my toddler a toy kitchen for Xmas and was wondering whether we need to attach it to the wall for safety? The child in question is still very unsteady on her feet and may pull her self up on it and/or lean on it while playing. It's a wooden one from Little Dutch which feels fairly robust. Would it be heavy enough to hurt her if it falls down? DH is nervous about drilling through the all as there are wires and pipes near by so not sure if we need to do it.

I would use some (a lot) of those command velcro strips that you can use for hanging pictures, etc if you're worried. I don't know the kitchen you mean so I don't know what weight it is, but the strips would certainly keep it steady.

We have the same one, got it when DD turned one. We've not attached it to the wall.

We haven't attached ours. I was wondering if we should a few months back, as toddler started climbing up on it. We didn't attach. It hasn't toppled and it's very rare she climbs it at all now

I think the fact you're asking on here gives you your answer.

You'd never forgive yourself if LO was hurt.

It depends what your child is like, we had a large heavy wooden kitchen in a playgroup I worked at, it only fell over once with a very adventurous child (tall for his age and almost 4) who climbed the front of it causing it to tip onto him and another child. Luckily nobody was hurt, I raced across the room and pulled it up immediately.

I think if it is worrying you it would be best to secure it somehow, especially if you would have to leave DC unattended at all.

Attach it. Our DD(2) is forever using ours (also Little Dutch) to steady herself and climb on. Not worth the risk.
