Toddler won’t stay in pushchair

Hi, i’m just looking for advice as my 2 year old daughter tries to climb out of the pushchair after about 10 minutes. Whenever i give her snacks it seems to calm her down but that only works for a few minutes. If i take her out of the pushchair, she’s usually happy to walk but she doesn’t let me hold her hand and tries to run away so it’s not always safe and it’s exhausting. i’ve been looking into getting her a balance bike or a trike with a handle but i’m not sure as we live on top of a hill so i’d end up carrying the bike most of the times and i don’t know how difficult it would be to push the trike up the hill. Does anyone have any advice?

How necessary is the pushchair? My eldest didn't go in it after 16 months or so as she just WOULDN'T. But she walked well. She has reigns so she couldn't do a runner ans I could catch her if she tripped.

Use reins. Stand still and insist she holds your hand wait the tantrum out.
Let her tantrum in the pushchair you can clip her in with reins, if she refuses to walk with reins.

Definitely use reins - I used a wristband which is a lot more comfortable and secure than holding hands

Strap her in the buggy - we did for the buggy and the highchair. We used reins when we were out without the buggy. The strap and reins were non negotiable.
