Sore bum: rather indelicate thread sorry.

DS is now toilet-trained (Hooray) but still wears a nappy for bedtimes and, when putting it on him, I have noticed that his ringpiece looks quite red and sore. When he poos, I usually wipe his bum for him, but he has been having a go at doing so himself, could this be what is making him sore, or should I be looking out for worms?

yup - it'll be him not managing to clean it properly - poor wee love. Spot of conotrane and a gentle "what a good boy for trying, but maybe Mum needs to make sure" conversation should do it

Personally I thnk sudocrem is the devils work!! Made dd's bum bleed, and have bad reports from other mums. Could just be sensitive skin though

He does have his hand down his pants a fair bit so I will look for worms down the pan the next time he poos (Gosh, isn't parenthood delightful...). Nervousal, what is conotrane? Can I get it from the chemist?

The Weleda calendula stuff is v nice for sore bums. It's not cheap, but it lasts for aaaaagggggggggeees.
