Best barrier cream for dribble spots?

TennisMad93 · 30/11/2024 17:35

Been two months now and hard to get a handle on the spots caused from the drooling and teething. GP said it was caused by contact from LO hands on face and to use a barrier cream or ointment.

tried lots of things but can’t seem to
fully shake it. What does everyone recommend?

We used to use the Weleda weather protection balm, which worked really well. Also helped with eczema in cold, windy weather.

Thanks will have to look into it. Tried hydromol, cetraben, Vaseline, dribble defence and bepanthen. Bepanthen worked best so far I’ve found. Think he has really sensitive skin

Anyone else have any other recommendations please? Not sure if it’s something that will get better with age etc

I just tried to keep clothes and bibs as dry as possible and used either Vaseline or Bepanthan as a barrier. But to be honest it never really went away completely until DC grew out of it and stopped drooling so much. When it got really bad I would use steroid cream prescribed by the GP for a bit to get rid of the rash.

Lansinoh nipple cream. DD has dribble rash for many awful months and after a friend suggested it I swear it was gone in a couple of days.

Hydromol is our go to barrier cream.
My daughter spends most of winter looking like a clown rubbing snot into her cheeks and it's the only thing that helps.

Second vote for Waleda

Did you eventually get rid of the rash? My lo has currently got one for the last 2 months!
