fluffle users advice please

hi we use fluffles and bamboozles during the day and we have now started to use them at night with the fluffle liner in and the red tots bots fleece wrap. He mainly goes through the night so the nappy is on about 9 hours. Do other people use an additional liner at night apart from the fluffle liner already and if so what type?

Would it keep him loads drier?

Thanks

I used to use an additional fleece liner but didn't find it made much difference tbh

I dont use an extra liner but i do use a couple of hemp boosters as dd3 is a piddlepants!

DS just drenches his fluffles at night (they are literally dripping in the morning) and there doesn't seem to be a lot we can do about it. He's currently in sposies for night time but even they get overwhelmed sometimes.

We use fluffles at night with an additional booster, and have never had any leaking issues (with an Airflow wrap, haven't tried fleece wraps).

I usually use a paper liner as well, as DS is prone to early morning pooing , and on occasion an extra fleece liner if we've run out of paper. I haven't noticed any problems with a rash or anything due to wetness. DS is now 2.11 and this has been our nighttime nappy routine since he was 8 mo, in that time I think we've had maybe one or two leaks, no more than that!

Fluffles are made from microfibre so the wetness coats the fibres rather than absorbing into them, which means the fleece wraps will be more likely to have compression wicking.

I'd suggest using hemp or bamboo boosters OUTSIDE the fluffle and under the fleece wrap.

Personally I'd say the bamboozles would probably work better at night.

I only managed to use a fluffle overnight with my DD until she was 6 months (but then she was a monster who woke every 40 mins for milk - still suffering from the psychological damaged that caused even though she has just turned two today ).

After than I moved over to hemp nappies (bumhuggers) until she was taking less milk.

When you say additional liner so you mean 'booster' and not 'liner'? If so you may find an additional hemp booster would work well if you needed it. Hemp and microfibre make a good combination - microfibre is very quick to absorb moisture but hemp is more absorbant but takes longer to absorb. Stick a hemp booster under you microfibre one when you need extra boosting - the MF will mop up anything straight away then pass it to the hemp for 'storage' IYSWIM. Hemp is also very thin too which is good - try to get a second hand booster as the hemp takes a lot of pre-washing before it is absorbant enough.

Btw - I found airflow wraps worked better than fleece - nice and breatheable but don't make everything damp (thinner fit too)

We use the fluffle only at night time and find it works well when used with a bamboo booster.
