I wish I could bite a person and make them scream

My 4.5 year old DD is on the pathway for ASD and also shows a lot of PDA tendencies. She can be quite heavy handed and squeeze, pinch and hit even when she is just sitting nicely on our laps. She was cuddling me today and she said "I wish I could bite a real person and make them scream" is this a normal 4 year old comment? Or maybe it's the potential ASD. It has alarmed me and made me nervous as to why she has said this.

My DD is fully verbal and does sometimes say things that seem aggressive but this is a new level.

It's odd but I think the fact that she said it means she knows she can't do it. I would have continued the conversation on those lines.

@CaptainMyCaptain I spoke to her about how that wouldn't be kind and it would hurt the person etc. she often squeezes me and pinches me without thinking and then says "sorry sorry" after, I think she does it out of impulse without thinking.

I wouldn't worry too much. Lashing out and hurting someone without thinking would be worse. I have occasionally wondered what it would be like to punch someone and knock them out like in film fights but I have never done it and never will.

@CaptainMyCaptain thank you 😂 that is true, a lot of us do have intrusive thoughts and maybe at age 4 you don't know how to keep them to yourself yet!

I think it's good that she voices it so you can talk about it.
