Contact centers and court proceedings

Hello I was looking for some advice.
Going through court. Court has advised contact to be in a contact center in the interm. This is due to safeguarding concersn. The contact center doesn't have any availability before our next court appearance. What can I do? What will happen when we go back to court? The contact center has advised there will not be any availability before our next court appearance. I am really worried about what will happen next. Thank you.

Is that the only one nearby ?

I would at least put LO on the waiting list it shows you have intentions

Yes it's the closest one to where we live. It is the one that the court recommended. Both myself and the father have filled out all the forms as requested. And we are on the waiting list. But the contact center knows when we are next at court and have said its very unlikely we will get a space before the next court date. What do you think will happen when we go back to court and there has been no contact still? It's been over a year of no contact now.

I don't know what will happen but it sounds as though you've done what the Court has ordered. Are there any other Contact Centres that you could try?

What is it that you are particularly worried will happen?

There isn't anything to worry about. You can't help ur if the contact centre is now on a waiting list.

Just ensure you have it in writing from the CC about no space and forward to the court, to let them know and request any additional CC that you can look at using. Perhaps then you can investigate another centre as a back up, but honestly it's not your responsibility. You've done what the court have asked.

Do you have social care involvement, if there are safeguarding concerns? If so, the social worker can facilitate supervised contact for you. Either by supervising it themselves (but during the work week) or by vetting friends or relatives to allow them to supervise.

Contact your solicitor and ask for an independent supervised contact service. Some of these services can do contact within the community instead. It can be a one off session or a continuing thing. They look out for the best interests of the child and if that's having contact asap then thats what they'll try and do. Otherwise they can find a different contact centre.

What is your concern? Are the children wanting to see their dad or are you worried about looking bad in court (or both)? You won't look bad in court so if the kids aren't upset about not seeing him, do nothing.

Nothing will happen, you have taken the courts advice and have her on a waiting list. That is not the same as parent alienation or refusing to let a parent see the child.
