Hi all,
baby is 14 weeks today, had vaccinations this tuesday, so its been 4 days. Since sunday, daughter has been crying non stop, wont feed , she is EBF and wont take a bottle or dummy.

sunday it lasted an hour tjen she slept but then cluster fed from 11pm- 1am - this kept happening throughout the week and especially from 11pm-1am , put this down to 12 week growth spurt??

Now babt wont sleep in the day or night, i was up every hour last night since she wouldnt sleep, generally she sleeps to feed and wont wake up for 2-3 hours , but this week she will wake up and feed for an hour and cry if she unlatches before sleeping and waking up again. Im so exhausted it’s like newboen stage all over. Shes had 1 nap today for an hour and one for 10 mins - I put this down to my maybe 4 months regression???

i do think she is teething too? Her gums are going white but cant feel anything. She is always shoving her hand in her mouth to chew on jt or fingers , and is so so fussy and back of head is quite warm

any suggestions please help I’m losing my mind with sleep deprivation

Hi OP,

I'm sorry you're not getting any sleep. It might be worth seeing your GP?

BackinBlack24 · 16/11/2024 15:33

Are you giving calpol ? 14 weeks is very early for teething more likely off from vaccines mine had hers on Monday and still not right today . Maybe book in to see Gp just incase there's a little ear or throat infection better safe than sorry

@BackinBlack24 - yeah we are giving calpol to her but not making much difference,
only main reason we think teething is because we can see the white dots where teeth would come through

Try giving her something cold to chew on, a teething ring might help x it does get better.... eventually x

I remember this feeling - I was assured my first baby would sleep by 12 weeks so I was really thrown at 13 weeks when she still woke.
Best advice is accept it. Your baby is tiny and will sleep well at times and dreadfully at other times - even by the first birthday you'll be woken sometimes, even when they are 5 you'll be woken sometimes. It's hideous but you get used to it. You're not doing anything wrong.
