Jumperoos? Good or bad?

My little boy loves his jumperoo - my question is however is it good or bad for their development when it comes to walking/crawling?

he was flat footed so we’ve raised it to 2 instead of 1. Is this right? He’s not in it for more than 10 minutes a day. It allows me to get some housework done whilst he’s occupied with the animals and lights.

ive seen so many mixed reviews on these, some saying they’re great in small doses & others saying they’re down right awful. Curious for other peoples views.

I think it’s fine for short periods. It doesn’t help there development but also doesn’t harm it if not in there for ages.

Thanks for responding so quickly there’s so many mixed reviews on them, I was just unsure. I’m still not certain about the placement of his feet if they should be flat or tippy toes

I think it’s fine for 10 mins at a time. But they’re not good for the hips generally - my daughter had DDH and we were told to avoid them, but I think it goes for any baby as all babies’ hips are still developing. You don’t want anything that’s a crotch-dangler, I think it’s unlikely that a jumperoo would keep hips in the deep M froggy position. But again, probably fine for 10 mins at a time.

It's not going to do any harm for 10 minutes at a time.

TBH DS1 (now 16) was in his for MUCH longer than the recommended time 😬 and it doesn't seem to have done him any harm, he is now tall and athletic. I am not advocating for this, I was a young mum and could sometimes be a bit lazy Blush

IIRC it says in the manual about what the setting should be for their feet. But I honestly doubt it matters for such short periods if your child doesn't have risk factors anyway.
