Dribble rash that won’t shift!

5 month old, has cut 2 bottom teeth this week, but the dribble rash is out of control and I can’t seem to get it any better.

bibs are being changed constantly, I’m using nipple balm (laniosh?) or bepathan during the day to act as a barrier, the cleaning thoroughly in the evening and applying either sudocrem or aveeno moisturiser at bed. It’s always there, has gone down a bit by the morning but gets progressively worse and looks horrendous by afternoon/evening.

had go appt for something else last week and showed him and he said keep it dry and keep moisturising. But it’s getting worse and look so sore

does anyone have any other methods of making this better?

I would go back to the GP again specifically to get treatment for this. Mine had a dribble rash and GP prescribed steroid cream to first get rid of the rash completely before we could get it under control by keeping it dry/moisturised. In fact I had to do this a couple of times before it went away.

Are you doing full change and wash and moisturise every time his clothes get wet? My LO had it for nearly a month and we have finally got rid but have had to change him ten plus times a day, even a bit of moisture on their top will keep irritating it because of the enzymes in their saliva, sorry if you’re already doing this. We also used the epaderm cream as it’s quite a thick barrier cream, you can buy it from the pharmacy

My baby had this and the pharmacist said barrier creams like sudocreme will not solve the issue. In the end the GP prescribed an antifungal cream. It got worse before it improved, and 3 weeks later it's still healing.
