Ikea Antillop.

About £15-18.

Molded plastic, hose down, shower down.

Fits in the boot of a car along with 2 suitcases a travel cot a nd a buggy.

Try it. If you hate it you have wasted nothing.

Cheers SMS. I like cheap and cheerful and it was an important thing to be able to move it around easily.

we've got an 'east coast' folding one. wooden. very nice and the table part can be swung round the back so they can be pushed up to kitchen table instead which is nice, otherwise they're out on a limb a bit. Not sure how much they are, but would defo recommend, although those bowls with suction pads don't stick.

I like this

SlightlyMadSweet · 26/04/2008 23:01

(I bought mine cos I couldn't afford my £100 one. I planned to spend £100 when I had the money, the Ikea one was only meant to last about 3m. 18m later I am still using it and I had to refrain myself when passing a couple getting a demo of a foa m padded all singing all dancing one costing £100 in toys r us recently )

LuckySalem · 26/04/2008 23:01

Cheers for all these, i'll keep your suggestions in mind for when I go shopping.

Yeah Lewisfan i liked that one too and bought it, regret not being able to take shelf/table off so i can push DS up to table now though.

The more I see this antilop one the more I like it. Does anyone know if I can put a highchair cushion in it as it looks abit tough on the back and boring (in all white, lol)

So I could probably just pop into mothercare and buy a nice bright cushion?

SlightlyMadSweet · 26/04/2008 23:22

Yes we had hte inlfatable cushion for a few months as DD3 is a diidy thing.

It is very cheap and a bit tacky TBH but it did the job when she was little. There comes a point when it restricts the space in the chair too.

Wow - If I am going to do that I don't think i'll wander into mothercare - maybe ebay will be better. lol

I'm def struck on the chair just not the colour so i'll see what I can do (maybe a paint job, lol)

wrt the cushion, dd sat forward in it anyway and it's a nice bucket seat, so imo it's not necessary. plus, remember they're wearing a big fat nappy...

dd wasn't big at 6 months. she could sit up fairly well, however, but that's what they recommend before weaning in any case.
