Christmas gifts for an 8 year old girl that won't end up at the bottom of a toy box?

My daughter is almost 8. Up until recently she's been relatively easy to buy for. She's always always had an obsession with something collectible. However recently she's gone off everything and doesn't have anything she currently "loves". She has boxes of tiny toys that aren't used anymore.

What are some presents your kids have LOVED?

She's never had a ride on electric car and we love getting out and about. I do seem them on selling sites a lot though so figure the fun wears off quickly? She may be too big now too. She seems to be transitioning into a kid who loves more active playful things over toys that keep you sat there. Although I'm open to any suggestions.

I seriously need help, im drawing a blank and want my Christmas to be sorted so I can be present with them in the holidays

She's far too old for a ride on car.
A scooter would be better if she hasn't got one.
Maybe take her to your nearest toy shop and see what catches her eye.

Far too old for an electric car.
My DD had a hairdresser's head mannequin thing at that age and loved it, played with it endlessly.

What about something to do an activity she enjoys? Whenever dc get new bikes, it’s always as a Christmas present. My dd is a couple years older, but very outdoorsy, last year she got a new rucksack for walking and walking poles, which have gotten a lot of use. If she’s into dance, new dance kit. Or always wanted to ride horses, get her a block of riding lessons.

Clothes are also always a big hit, though you’ve got to be able to gauge what she’s into, which is the hardest bit because they’re starting to get a bit fickle.

New scooter, Bike, Roller skates, or Roller blades if she already has skates.

Also a Yoto player is good but 7year old way more into it than 9 year old so I can’t vouch for their longevity

DD loves her Heeleys at that age.

Absolutely cannot imagine an electric toy car being good for getting out and about at any age, let alone for an 8 year old.

Bike
Scooter
Skateboard
Rollerskates are very in again at the moment

Retro toys are cool again, like Lite Brite. Arts and crafts things are good at that age. Or buy her an amazing experience day out.

If you do get roller skates or a skateboard see if there's an indoor skate park nearby. They sometimes have girls only nights or beginner sessions.

My DD is just turning 9 in a few weeks. Things she still plays with from a few years ago :

yoto player- used every night since she was 3 . We just change the stories. Harry Potter is her favourite now.

micro scooter with light up wheels

good quality colouring pencils and drawing things for her art

she plays a lot with dolls still - Harry Potter magical mini, na na na surprise, rainbow high and Disney Ily are her favourite.

Nintendo switch - we take this on holiday and everything and have family games nights with Mario party.

any form of Lego

trampoline in the garden; still played on every day

any form of board games; we have family board game night every Saturday night

flower press and foraging things; we live in a forest so she enjoys going out and hunting insects, using binoculars etc

Chemistry set; Massive hit at her birthday party last year; we had a potion party using magical mixies potion kit and it’s still played with a lot.

Her 9th birthday is in a few weeks. Between her birthday and Christmas she’s requested make it mini Harry Potter, a bitzee, some Harry Potter things and some new books. She also wants some Harry potter Lego and Lego dreamz from her grandparents.

We’ve got for our 7yo-

something like our generation doll but I can’t remember the brand

claires accessories jewellery

“swiftie” sweatshirt

squishmallow

bracelet making kit - Pandora style

also got a joint present which is one of those toy grabber games!

she’s got a refurbished bike from earlier in the year when she outgrew her smaller one otherwise that would have been her main present!
