Bio or non bio detergent?

Hi everyone, my little one is 9 weeks old and we've been exclusively using non-bio detergent and fabric softener. She had her rotovirus vaccine on Tuesday and had a massive poo explosion this morning that got on her clothes. I ran out of non bio pods and used a bio pod as obviously her clothes needed to be washed straightaway. Should I not use the clothes and rewash them in non - bio when I get some or should it be okay? She hasn't had sensitive skin at all, a bit of baby acne from 2-5 weeks but has since cleared up. Should the clothes be fine to use?

I moved to bio fairly quickly. Never had any issues

I never used fabric conditioner and used Fairy non bio when they were tiny. I had washable nappies and Fairy with some Napisan was sufficient.

We always used bio, it's absolutely fine

Agree with bio.

The idea non bio being gentler for babies turned out to be a myth. If you have a Google you can find out about this and how it was corrected by the nhs about 10 years ago but the myth is still persisting.

I say this as someone who has to be very careful with laundry detergent due to eczema for DC. What we do find to be an irritant is synthetic fragrances in laundry products.

Bio is fine for babies, it works much better than non-bio to get rid of baby stains like poo, but if you are concerned that fragrances etc might irritate their skin, just do an extra rinse cycle.

Bio is fine. Non-bio is marketing hogwash which has a place in the market because new parents are guilt tripped into it.

Non-bio doesn't even exist as a thing in most other countries.

And it costs less to manufacture because it's more crap. It's just a marvellous money spinner for the people that make it.

Don't make life harder than it needs to be, use a Bio to get the job done.

Bio versions of my normal brands makes my skin itch and my DC.
Fabric conditioner doesn't
