How long does it take for a toddler to get dehydrated when vomiting?

27 month old DD started vomiting around 2pm this afternoon and hasn’t kept much in since then even though she has been having sips of water. She didn’t urinate in between changing her nappy at 4pm and going to sleep at 7pm. Just wondering how long it takes them to get dehydrated and whether I should wake her during the night to have a drink if by some miracle she doesn’t wake anyway?

Probably worth waking for a drink before you go to bed.

Not sure how long it takes sorry. Hope they're feeling better soon.

Slight different situation but my DS used to get recurrent tonsillitis and wouldn’t even drink water. He went 16 hours without any milk or water when he was 11 months old and at that point I took him to a&e. We were told roughly though there needs to be a wet nappy in a 12 hour period (though I would be worried personally waiting that long). Appreciate it’s slightly different given vomiting dehydrates you further but I agree with PP to try and wake for a drink before bed, even a few sips of water will help. Sorry OP, we had a sickness bug last weekend and it’s absolutely awful to watch them go through it so I really feel for you
