Teething has a lot to answer for!

Little man is now 8.5 months old and cut his top 2 teeth middle of last week. There's still a corner of both of them that needs to push through. He's gradually got more and more hard work as the weeks gone on. Back to not finishing bottles and no amount of teething gels, powders, nurofen gets him to take anymore. His bedtime bottle for the last 2 nights has been a disaster. He only had 6oz out of a 9oz bottle this morning.

Not sure what else to try, just hoping this phase passes soon 😔

Has anyone else's baby been more fussy after the teeth have cut through? He was like this with his bottom ones but not to this extent 😭

Yeah this is normal and exhausting. My ds just kept getting new teeth between 5-7 months old, he got 8 teeth in about 2 months, I thought it would never end. We called him Baby Shark. He kept biting us., constant crying. Didn't sleep well. I have little shark teeth scars where he bit my arm.

Then we had 2 months with no new teeth. Hooray! Calm, happy baby! So adorable!

It's begun again. Gnashing, biting, crying... aargh.

The only consolation is that there is finally an end. I think my dd was around 2ish when she finally had all her baby teeth and then there was no more teething.

Fwiw we didn't find calpol or teething gels help much. The only thing that gives him any comfort is teething toys, the firm kind made of silicone. We have them in all shapes and sizes including one shaped like a TV remote, and sometimes we keep them in the fridge so they're cold to give him. Also sometimes a clean wet flannel is good as a teething toy

Nurofen usually works a dream - we only tend to give it before his bedtime bottle to help him sleep too. He was so tired yesterday (thanks to MIL) I was hoping he would down his bottle and zonk but oh no, he had other ideas. Pushed it away after 5oz and wriggled and writhed in his cot until he fell asleep.

I've recently got him a remote teether, mainly because he loves the TV remote and tries to eat that 😂

He isn't really grumpy in general, he's mainly just really fussy with bottles and food. Managed to get him to finish his porridge this morning but it took some doing!

I can't believe we have another 16 to go! 😭
