When do you stop burping a baby?

Hi everyone
FTM here and I just wondered if anyone could share their experiences on when they stopped burping their baby and how it went?
My little one is 7 months and I’m still burping her but she absolutely hates it and it really makes nap times harder as it wakes her up after the bottle. Do I still need to do this?! She still burps sometimes when I burp her but I suppose she would also do this herself? I just don’t want her to be in pain from gas etc.
Thanks so much!

Oh long before 7 months. I stopped nighttime burping around 4 months, when they can sit unaided I stopped burping.

I don't remember exactly as mine are adults now, but I think it certainly became unnecessary once they could sit up unaided.

If she doesn't want to do it then don't do it. She'll let you know if she becomes uncomfortable and you can pick her up for it then (and she probably won't object).

I didn't always burp them even when they were tiny , only if they seemed uncomfortable and needed it. Certainly not once they could sit unaided and roll over.

I don't think I ever burped my daughter. My son about 3 months

I never burped any of my four.
In some cultures it just doesn't happen, and they think we're weird to do it.
