I done a post earlier and to summarise basically both my babies have started nursery and been fine ! Not went in kicking screaming etc. it’s been my youngest’s 3rd day and went in okay and been fine all day, said she’s settled best out of the room Both started at 8.5/9mo

And I’ve just beat myself up a little. I obviously don’t want my kids sad don’t mix read this please haha!

it’s just I think am I boring? Do they not like being with me? Have I done something wrong ??

it’s silly I feel a bit sad about kt

Oh op! It means your children are secure and confident- a credit to you. I often feel a bit rejected by my son who is 2.5 as he literally never ever seeks me out at drop off in the mornings. Always happy to go to nursery! He began at 9 months part time and I’ve never had a screaming episode or clingy not even once. As he grows up a bit I can see he is quite confident and so I take solace in that because confidence is so important in life - I hope it continues! He is always happy to see me at pick up though - maybe use that as your marker rather than drop off!!! Be kinder to yourself Xox

8/9 months is often before separation kicks in.

So it’s normal that they’ve both went fine as they both went around that age

right Now my daughter and another baby are same age but the others are 1+

It can start around then but peak is around 12 months. Now that mat leave is more often a year I think it's made more issues when they start nursery.

I get you. She normally doesn’t want to be away from me. She’s never been babysat as she just cries until I get her. A month ago she was crying when I left the room even if she was with her dad so she has not wanted to be away from me

but I guess it’s a credit to the incredible nursery that she’s settled with them so well and now my mum is casing me (filled with hope) asking if she can babysit haha
