Toddler constantly sick - help!

My 10 month old caught a cold in July 24, its now the end of September 24, he has been sick every day since. Not only did he catch hand, foot and mouth from creche, but he has every cold going with his nose constantly running. He is miserable and so are we. I know there is the saying “they will pick up everything in creche”, but he has not had a single day where he has not been sick. I have been to my GP 4x about this and she keeps telling me there is nothing she can do. Ever since the hand foot and mouth, he vomits his entire stomach contents if he either coughs/gags a little bit (he has been on solid food since 4.5 months as per dietician) and drinks formula. We dread having to feed him for fear he will throw up his bottle with his food. He is really struggling with all the phlegm and snot. We suction a million times a day and use saline spray and have tried zirtek (as prescribed by doc) and got an asthma med to open his airways. Nothing works! He can barely sleep because he cant breathe with the phlegm.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Please help!

Sounds so hard I really feel for you! It seems endless. It does peter out eventually
Maybe try pre and probiotic drops/multivitamins and sambucol/elderberry tincture?

Anything to try and help boost immune system. Garlic/ginger in food etc lots of easy slowcooker food. Mash, soup, so it goes down easier and has less chance of being chucked up
Maybe steamy showers and then patting his back lots to try and get him to cough up the phlegm

Some babies/toddlers do pick up everything from nursery

It's normal. Their immune system needs to toughen up

It will get better

It's normal, unfortunately, it's how they build their immune system.

However, I'd stop using the saline spray. It always made my kids vomit. Use breastmilk if you have it or just don't.

You don't need to suction a snotty nose or spray saline up it, just wipe it on the outside.

Ps if the phlegm is affecting sleep, try getting him to sleep on his side, in the foetal position

Thank you! We got probiotic powder recommended by the pharmacist and had been giving him that but it seemed to make him vomit more. Good to know about the garlic and ginger, will try add more of that. We have steamy showers and have vicks vaporub on his chest and feet and vapor oil in boiling water to fill the room and a plug in one too!
