Calpol in the milk bottle

I have a relative (not closely related but they live next door to MIL) who every time I see them puts calpol in their DC's milk bottle. This has been going on since they were a small baby.

Each time it's a similar thing. The DM gets annoyed at DC over something seemingly innocuous. Cue the DH goes off and comes back with the calpol in a milk bottle and tops it up with milk. I have seen this many times in two years. The DC is not unwell just usually playing or fussing over a small thing like toddlers too.

I have on occasion asked why DC needs calpol and pointed out that long term calpol is not good. I don't know but I suspect this is probably a daily occurrence.

WWYD? Do I keep my beak out or say something. I can't imagine this is doing the DC any good.

Why are they doing it? Are they under the incorrect assumption it's a sedative or something?

Previously the DM has said it is for the teething pain. I've raised 3 DC and know what teething pain looks like and never seen the child display those classic teething pain symptoms, which I don't believe need Calpol half the time anyway.

It's been going on now for two years. It makes me feel uncomfortable knowing that this DC is being given paracetamol at any sign of fussiness. Usually the DC is just playing or fussing for something but in no way unwell.

Calpol is paracetamol and shouldn’t be used like that.
