Which reusable for night time?

Dd (19mnths) has started leaking from her Motherease birth to potty overnight. I have been adding an extra booster pad and this has solved the problem but she looks so uncomfortable....

Any reccomendations for a reusable nappy that will keep her dry till morning?

Hi I use a fuzzi bunz stuffed with a prefold. Works well, a bit bulky but my 19 month old dd doesn't appear to mind

We like BabyBeehinds or a Minky with a double insert - usually 1 hemp and 1 microfibre.

TBH - bulky nappies don't seem to bother them. We have some Huggles and they are huuuuge - but DS sleeps perfectly in them.

They look ok. do you find that they fit well? No gaps or anything?

Ellas house bumhuggers work very well for us and are quite thin fitting. Being entirely fleece lined keeps the bottom dry all night and they have a pocket for stuffing should you require it. They take a while to dry so you might need two or three to keep you going - we use an airflow wrap over ours (particularly like that wrap for night for breatheability). I found them more absorbant and thinner than huggles.

or....

A pocket nappy of your choice with a pad folded bamboo terry as an insert - more absorbant and flexible than a prefold so good for night times. This can be quite bulky but never seemed to bother my DD - sometimes I think you just have to get used to the bedtime big-bummed look (as alarming as it might be at times )

It's more that she seems to be wedged into it than that it's bulky, there is a lot of wriggling and tugging to get her in, and the motherease are quite tight around her chunky thighs but loose on her tiny waist.

Meant to say, I relly liked the Beehinds but there is no way it would be a proper btp as it is way too small so maybe best if you have a small DC. My tiny DD still fits into size 1 nappies at a push but is on the last setting on a beehind .

BigBadMouse · 20/04/2008 21:29

Thats why I like the bumhugger - I fit it quite loosely around my DD, the airflow doesn't have to be tight either and I don't need huge sleepsuits to fit over it (with legs that are 15 inches too long )

Just having a look on twinkleontheweb. Very hard not to just order one of each and give them a go

Oooo, you can get the bumhugger in camouflage, that would keep dh happy (and justify me spending more on nappies!)

very hard indeed

I have to say that my DS is nearly 2 and big, but still fits into the Beehind.

We have a couple of Bumhuggers, but they won't last all night for us, but I love them for long car journeys.

imblet · 21/04/2008 10:55

I started using 2 motherease at night when this happened. We had so many nappies I really didn't want to buy even more. It was bulky but DD really didn't mind overnight.

claireybee · 21/04/2008 12:42

I use bumbles, wee notions or bumhuggers with wool wraps overnight. i do add an extra booster though as dd still has milk in the night most nights

MrsJamin · 22/04/2008 10:41

I use Bamboo Little Kiwi Quick Flips with their own Fleece/PUL wrap, with microfibre cloth round a hemp booster- its all wet through by morning but there's no hint of moisture on the outside - it's VERY bulky but will fit DS for quite some time.

Thanks for your advice. I've just ordered a fuzzi bunz and a bum hugger to try
