Holiday fines

I’ve read the whole government rules on school rules on fines over and over.
and it sounds like you only get fined if they are off for 5 consecutive days (10 sessions)

I have 5 children in school, so paying fines isn’t an option for me.

if I was to take the children out of school on a Wednesday Thursday Friday before the half term week would I still get fined?

or any Thursday Friday and Monday?

has anyone done this?

thanks

The days do not have to be consecutive to be fined it's any 5 days or 10 sessions in a 10 week period.

In England, schools are required to consider a penalty notice for a child who has missed 10 or more sessions (usually five school days) of school for unauthorized reasons within a 10-week period. This applies to any term time, whether the absences are taken consecutively or cumulatively. Inset training days are also considered school days and can be included in the count.

So I could potentially take them out on a Wednesday before half term and they only miss 3 days (6 sessions) and I don’t get a fine?
my kids all have 98%+ attendance every year, so I’m not worried about them missing the other 2 days within the 10 week period.
