Help .. I need some ideas my 4 month old little girl gets so frustrated with toys .. she just wants to have everything in her mouth (like the whole of it) I’ve got teething toys etc but she only has them for about 10 seconds … im not silly I don’t expect her to be able to play but I’d like her to have different activities or resources I can use so she’s not getting bored so easily or when she is I have enough things for her to do just so I have enough time to wash the bottles 😆 or put the washing out 😅

A lot is temperament unfortunately.
My baby is 7 months and will happily play independently for around an hour in the morning alone and has since 3 months . A unicorn apparently!

The fisher price play mat with the kicking piano was always his fav though.

DD's used to lie under their baby gym for a while entertaining themselves. Put some music on too.

Also used to put them in the pram and site it under the trees with the sun, birds, clouds etc. Endlessly entertaining.

At that age mine liked their play mat or bouncy chair and that's about it. A 4 month old is unlikely to entertain themselves long enough for you to hand washing out, you're better off taking her out with you in a sling

Eurgh mine was like this. It got better at six months - I found that two month period impossibly hard!!

Lots of walks in the pram, baby classes and sering friends really helped. If we were at home, I had to work so hard to entertain her. It's such a nosey age where they really start awakening to the world and need a surprising amount of stimulation!

My nearly 5 month old (1 week away!) was literally like this two weeks ago. I was started to get frustrated at his frustration with his toys but I honestly think he just was going the the 4 month fussy phase! He was just so aggravated for about 2 weeks. He’s truly back to being a chill baby now though! They go through sooo many phases so quickly. My baby boy now is refusing to be put down at bedtime but because there’s been so many phases, I’m starting to not overthink things (as much as possible!)

Also forgot to mention. I’m going to be absolutely slaughtered for saying this, but we had to resort in letting him watch Ms Rachel or Bear In The Big Blue House. These are the only 2 programs I let him watch as they are genuinely educational. He watches no more than 20 minutes on a bad day when I can’t get anything done
