Red spots appearing on baby face?

I’m unsure what they are as it’s been a few days and sometimes gets worse. Did try hydromol but wasn’t sure if this was making LO get more spots.

LO is 17 weeks old and started off on cheek and now on both sides of face and a little behind the ears. Photo for reference.

Thanks in advance!

It looks like possible chicken pox. My granddaughter had a rash recently that looked very similar and turned out to be chicken pox. Mostly face and behind her ears. A few on her neck and a few on her tummy after a few days

It’s probably been a week or so and no signs of it anywhere else on the body?

Poor little thing. I suppose they just get these things. Maybe a trip to the GP is in order. I also suppose if little one isn't running a temperature CP is unlikely.

Looks like baby ache to me.

At 4 months old? Didn’t think it could go up to that age as though it often resolves itself around 6-8 weeks.

I'm pretty sure it's just baby acne/milk spots. Keep face clean and avoid really heavy creams as it'll clog up the pores.

My little boy had the exact same, age doesn't come into it

Interesting thank you! Was using hydromol originally as thought it was a rash but decided to stop after a few days and put nothing on it from today (other than water and cotton wool etc).

How long does it take to clear up and go away?

@TennisMad93 - hard to say really, my little boys was a lot worse than your pic, but took a few weeks of being careful. I'm a skin therapist so I was very careful and looking for the best products.

Personally I found using a cotton muslin to wash his face and then using Nalas baby fragrance free lotion the best as it's super light!

Even washing face after milk and burps/sick to keep nice and clean ☺️

Thanks! Might just use nothing on it for a few days but water and see how it gets on

Thanks all for advice! Will cut back on lotions/creams for time being and just use water and see how it goes.
