14month old head falling forward in car seat When sleeping.
we have the cossato All in All Rotate i-Size Ultra Car Seat with is meant to be compatible with our car.
shes 83cm tall so should be plenty tall for it especially when it’s ment to be from birth.
i don’t feel like it’s safe and I’m left sitting with my hand holding her head up during journeys
This is the car seat

I've often seen this if the head rest or shoulder straps aren't quite in the right position. Do they need adjusting? Maybe your little one has recently had a growth spurt so they aren't quite in the right place anymore.

@Disastrouspottytraining the straps are in the right place and still the same ☹️

The compatibility thing only really says that it will physically fit in the car - it doesn't tell you much about whether the angle will be too steep unfortunately.

I assume you have it rear facing - do you have quite a slope on the back seats in your car? That will often cause an issue with isofix seats.

Which inserts do you have in if any? I will check the manual in a minute but I just have to go and put my LO to bed, then I'll be back.

Where do you have the straps in relation to her shoulders?

OK have had a look at the manual.

For 83cm you should have the body part of the insert in but not the head piece. Cosatto write this as:

"When your child's height is between 61 and 87 cm, the child car seat must be used with the seat liner section only, WITHOUT the head & side wing sections."

They illustrate this on page 44 of the manual. It's not hugely clear which parts are to be removed as there's another illustration on page 34 which is labelled as S1/2/3 and P2/3/4 for various parts. So may be worth double checking this.

But even with the inserts and straps right, if her head continues to fall forward it may be the angle of the seat.

It is a really helpful group, but it is also super toxic!

I used to be on there and someone was asking about public transport when one of the admins (Gabi) told her could drive but was choosing not to. When the poster explained that she wasn't legally allowed to drive due to a sight disability, the admin told her that she'd googled it and actually she could drive if she just changed her mindset 🙃.

Anyone who suggested that the admin was being offensive was booted from the group. The admin directed everyone in the group to a particular ex-member's personal profile and ridiculed her. It then came out that this admin had been very offensive towards disabled people in the past and was messaging ex members threatening them.

Anyway, I'd advise looking for a different group!

You might need to adjust the headrest up, because the insert pushes children up in the seat, if you've had it adjusted for where she sits without the insert then it will probably need to be changed.

Try it at a time when she's relaxed and you have plenty of time and don't need to be somewhere so you aren't stressing about it. Even bring the car seat into the house and put it on a sofa or something (to stop the support leg making it tilt to the side).

Also make sure you're starting with the harness loose and then positioning it on her shoulders before you tighten, it helps to get the best fit this way.

This is not the same seat but same principle with this kind of harness:
