Naps ???

Where is everyone putting their babies for naps? My daughter is 3 months and used to be fine going into the moses basket for naps. But this past while she's not liking it at all. I'm sure she would settle if I put her in her actual bed. But obviously she can't be left alone. Do I just go to bed as well? haha

pram (carrycot or actual seat if it lays flat), on play mat, in cot, on cot mattress on floor of living room

Literally anywhere is fine - ideally you want them to be able to nap on the go and at home so now might be a good time to try pram naps.

Also you don't have to go to bed if they're in the cot... just make yourself a coffee and sit in the nursery/your room for a bit, read a book or listen to a podcast on your headphones, or dip in and out putting laundry away/tidying/changing bedsheets/etc

@Essie274 oh yes pram is a good idea. Will try that

At that age I used to put DD2 upstairs to sleep in a darkened room and turn the baby monitor on so I could check she was ok. DD1 was too noisy with her downstairs.

She's always napped really well both in the house and out and about x

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 that's what I would of done with my older children. There's a very big age gap. Other children 25 and 15 and I don't remember ever being told not to let them sleep alone before 6 months back then. But that seems to be the advice now

@CBM40 my DD2 is under 1. I know many mums who did the same. I know this sounds silly but for a while I didn't realise the advice applied to day time sleep as well where you could watch a monitor x

The fact that your other children have survived to 25 and 15 speaks volumes. Put down, monitor on, crack on.

@HerewegoagainSS very ture. Feel like I'm constantly questioning myself this time
