Travel pram help

We are unexpectedly going away on holiday and I just don't know what to do about taking our pram. Baby will be 12 weeks. We have the bugaboo fox which I don't want to take as it's so bulky and feels like a lot of hassle with the bassinet. I also have the bugaboo butterfly which we bought for travelling with older DS but can't use until 6 months as it doesn't lie flat .

Do I look for another travel pram maybe second hand that I can use at 12 weeks if so what do people recommend?

Or do I suck it up and take the fox away I've never travelled with a big pram so this just feels daunting. I'm also mindful we have a perfectly good travel pram that we just can't use yet so is it silly to get another one

I'd just take the Fox. What will you be doing that is different from your normal everyday travel? If it suits your life at home then it will probably be right for you on holiday. Just fold it up and gate check it on the plane (assuming you're flying). Then at your destination you'll probably be just walking locally the same way you do with the pram at home. The baby is definitely too young for the Butterfly so I wouldn't put them in there.

You can rent prams if you really dont want to take your fox. I rented a yoyo with bassinet for 2 weeks. It's was really very clean and a simple process. Delivered and picked up from my door!

I’d recommend looking into a second-hand travel pram that reclines fully, like the Babyzen Yoyo. It’s super compact and works well for younger babies. I totally get not wanting to deal with the bulk of the Fox while traveling, so getting a lighter option just for this trip could save you a lot of hassle!

Is it possible to get a newborn insert/bassinet for the butterfly?

I did some research about your topic and I found something on this website. I think Baby Jogger City Tour 2 will be your best choice

I rented via Tiny Explorer Rentals - seamless ordering and delivery. Ended up liking the babyzen yoyo that I bought one (second hand) but if you have a travel pram, you could rent one with the 0-6mth attachment from them for max 40-50quid for the week.

Is the pram with the bassinet approved for overnight sleep? If so you might find it useful at night too so you don’t have to lower baby into a travel cot or worry about dodgy mattresses etc (not an issue if you cosleep).

I rented a Yoyo with the newborn part when DS was 16 weeks and worked perfectly. I rented from baboodle
