Hi,
does anyone have any bottle recommendations for a high palate please? We are currently using dr brown.

Also, we are using carobel for her reflux which works great but makes her constipated. Does anyone have any other suggestions instead of carobel please?
Her reflux is silent.

Hi, I believe my baby has a high palate and we are using MAM bottles and are struggling, did you find a bottle that worked? X

My little one has a very high palate. We generally use Nuk First Choice but DD2 is under the specialist speech and language feeding team (she is 5.5months) and they also recommended Dr Brown. Mam were awful for us. Far too wide and flat to hit the suck spot on her palate.

Thanks for getting back to me! Can I ask how you ended up getting referred and being under a the specialist team as I really think this is something we need. I will look into Dr Brown bottles thanks!

Hi, yes we have settled on the Dr Brown wide neck. We did try the narrow but she found it more difficult to latch onto these.
We also found lasnisoh teats really good (and they fit onto the mam bottles) but unfortunately the flow of the teats didn’t work well with baby. They’re very odd.
Hope this helps :)

My HV referred us after watching DD have a really dreadful feed about 4 weeks post TT division. SALT did an initial assessment, they were concerned enough to refer us to paeds to check if the feeding issues were being caused by a bigger issue, paeds did an assessment and said they were happy for us to be monitored by SALT. We then had another observed feed by SALT which was much better as this was now 10weeks post TT division, plus her suck had significantly improved and she was maintaining weight. So for now we are on monthly weigh ins with HV plus probably one more appointment with SALT after I start weaning.
