My DD is 4 years old and I’d love to buy some games we can both play at friday's evening. We have Guess who?, twister junior, red dog &blue dog, lince (spanish board game) and some jigsaws. Any inspiration gratefully received!

Uno,dobble, Junior cluedo (we played as a family team for a long time until the youngest really got the tactics but they all enjoyed it), party party party by orchard. All hit games in my house!

Get a little hands card holder for any card games -its a game changer (no pun intended )

Labyrinth we found better at about 6- they do need to be able to work out what effects pushing a row will have on the other pieces. I found my son couldn't really visualise it properly at 4.

At four mine loved frustration- floundering (basically beetle drive), pairs, and picture lotto.

Mermaid Island. It's by peaceable kingdom who make lots of games where you cooperate to achieve a goal rather than once person winning (and let's face it, 4yo wins or there's a meltdown)

My dd loves it. We play guess who a lot too.
