Old cradle cap

My just turned 4 year old has a lot of hair and still has a couple of patches of old/dried cradle cap. It doesn't itch him/bother him and you can't see it unless you look for it but he starts school and I want to get rid of it.
When he was a baby I used baby oil and a brush but is there anything other recommendations please?

My hairdresser recommended using coconut oil/ spray and a nit comb on DD for her cradle cap when she was nearly 3 and got to say it worked a treat and has never come back

I use coconut oil occasionally for my toddlers cradle cap which seems to work pretty well.

Do they still make Dentinox shampoo? It makes it soft and you can just pick it off as you shampoo

A nit comb lifted the last of my LO's remaining cradle crap!

My 6 year old still gets it. You manage it the same. Coconut oil and a good scrub and wash it out. I often use a nut comb to get the scales out before washing.

I saw a scalp oil for babies in sainsburys half price which we are going to try. DD still gets it at 5, we oiled and combed it out last month which got most of it. It's a PITA

I spread vaseleline all over before bed. Let it soak in. Wash out with adult shampoo the next day. Then a really good comb with a fine tooth comb. That'll do loads of it. It still comes back but each time it's far far less.
