Hi, currently breastfeeding my newborn but I cannot nurse from this breast as it is absolute agony. Is this a milk bleb/multiple blisters/blebs? Appreciate any help/advice, it’s so miserable :( Thank you!

It looks like one to me. I recall them being painful when I had them. I think I did hot showers, hot flannel and then a bit of a vigorous rub and they came away. Fingers crossed you can get through it.

How old is your newborn?
Id get your latch checked as possibly caused by shallow latch from baby.
I think probably a blister. Bleb (in my experience) was smaller than that. If you have a new born more likely to be latch related so I’d get advice from midwife or a local lactation consultant in first instance.

Multi mam compresses from amazon are really soothing and helpful for wet healing.

My sympathies. I had this too and it’s just so painful. Absolutely get your latch checked, I went to a free breastfeeding clinic through the local council. I did a lot of poking and scraping to try and remove but I think the only thing that really worked was continuing to feed with a better latch. I ended up favouring the other boob which whilst understandable with the pain can alter your flow. Hopefully you can get some support soon

Thanks all. It must’ve popped in the night as when I woke up the pain had completely gone and there was a kind of gunky residue. I had a hot shower and then it completely came away. I have a pretty flat nipple on that side and I know it’s breast feeding not nipple feeding but wondering if that’s affecting the latch. He’s only 10 days old.

If the latch is right ibthink the nipple will be pulled into the right shape, so I wouldn't worry about that. It is really hard to get right at the beginning and then it suddenly gets very straightforward. But, yeah, if you've got a b/f drop in or cafe nearby, might be an idea to get someone to look at your latch.
