Warning: photo! Is this normal or diarrohea? 6 week old

My 6 week old has had runny poos for the past week or so and I’ve googled it and apparently it’s a sign of diarrohea? It used to be much grainier. She has recently moved from being EBF to combi fed, around 60/40 split in favour of breast milk

thanks in advance

Not diarrohea but it’s shiny which suggest mucus which is a sign the gut is healing, some times indicates an allergy. Has she just had the rota virus vaccination?

@Snacksgalore not yet she has it booked for when she’s 8 weeks. She was a bit congested and snotty early last week too it could maybe be connected?

Formula gave my baby explosive poos from time to time, esp when she had cold as she'd been swallowing snot.

Yes, it very probably is that. Just keep an eye on her. Do you express milk at all? - If she is fighting an infecting your milk maybe slightly blue.

I'd expect it to get thicker introducing formula, not runnier. Congestion and runny poos is likely a sign of an allergy

That looks like some of my DC's nappies at that age, and they had an allergy to cows milk protein. That could match with the introduction of formula, as there'll be more cows milk protein in formula than in your breast milk. If you ask your health visitor and/or GP, they might be able to advise on whether that could be the case for your little one, and give you an allergen-free formula to try.
