What can I do with a child who has chickenpox?

My DD (2.5) has had chickenpox since Wednesday and has been fine with them but is getting really bored (and so I am). I took her for a walk through the park at 8am on Saturday but she wanted to walk so we had to come home. We have painted, made cakes, made goop, played with playdough, read x amount of stories, watched A LOT of TV, visited my sister (both of her children have had them but she is in work today and her children are in school..), driven to the airport to look at the planes......WHAT ELSE CAN I DO TO KEEP HER ENTERTAINED? Thanks in advance

Lots of Bicarb baths as it helps the chickenpox and is a good distraction - put in lots of plastic pots, scoops, sieves etc for pouring and splashing fun. Let her take a doll in to bath too (or some other waterproof toys)

isn't she nearly scabbed over by now? Once all the vescicles have gone crusty you can return to normal life.

To add to you list:
puzzles
make dens
picnic in garden, picnic indoors
play in the bath (my two loved baths when they had CP, with bicarb and oats in a sock technique0 we resorted to bath time several times a day.
treasure hunt

Thanks for quick replies. We did some planting in the garden too but the weather is rubbish today. We did some puzzles in bed this morning but I think we will bath a bath and an indoor picnic before nap time. They seem to be scabbing but she also has a few new ones. Is it usually 7-10 days? We are on day 6. I haven't had them so I might be asking for tips to entertain myself in a few weeks!!

3kids How did you cope with 2 of them getting it at different times? I'm fed up of being in the house for 6 days!! I went out really early on Saturday morning to avoid the dirty looks. Could really do with nipping to the shop but know I shouldn't.

sod them all if anyone looks at dd then tell shes got the plauge .being stuck in the house with an ill child is enough to send any mother round the bend.my dd 7yrs old had pneumonia for a week before being diagnosed, we all thought it was a tummy bug.had two weeks off to recover then went back to school for one week then it was the easter holidys for another two weeks so by the end of all that i was a dribbiling wreck!

Hahaha. I'm prob just as likely to infect people as she is because I don't have any immunity. Staying in for that long is enough to drive anyone crazy....
